The Richest Zamindar of Bihar with revenue collection of Rs. 60 Lakh in 1820s.Maharaja is brave heart man with Golden Mind.After the Permanent Settlement of 1793, he was was the wealthiest zamindar of Bihar with an annual income of 6000000 Rs in the year 1820 from which he paid 300,000RS. as malguzari.The Tekari family made large contributions in the social and cultural spheres of the area. The present day Tekari Raj High School and Tekari College owe their existence to their benevolence,Gaya Public Library (the oldest District Library in Bihar) and the Gaya Club, which is the hub of social activity in Gaya town, stand on land donated by them.
